Twenty-seven officers will receive B.C.’s highest award for their acts of exceptional valour in the face of extreme hazard. Along with the traditional gold pin for valour, the Honourable Iona Campagnolo, Lieutenant Governor, will also present a medal of valour for the first time in the province’s history. Thirty-five officers will receive a silver pin for meritorious service to recognize their exemplary performance, acting in a manner significantly beyond the standard normally expected.
