PREMIER’S STATEMENT ON ATTACKS IN MUMBAI

 


VICTORIA – Premier Gordon Campbell released the following statement today in response to the acts of violence in Mumbai, India:

 

“On behalf of all British Columbians, I want to express condolences to the people of India and their loved ones here in British Columbia, following the series of terrible attacks that took place in Mumbai.

 

“The people of British Columbia and India are closely connected through family, social and economic ties. More than 230,000 British Columbians are of Indian origin, and many of us have family and friends living in India.

 

“British Columbians are united in mourning the injury and loss of life and condemning acts of violence and terrorism.”
