CORONERS SERVICE REQUESTS HELP TO ID MAN

BURNABY – The BC Coroners Service and Richmond RCMP request the public’s assistance in identifying this male. His remains were found on Nov. 7, 2009, floating in the Fraser River across from Mitchell Island near the Shell Road terminus of River Road.

The subject’s ancestry is unknown. He had short thick black hair and a black goatee. He weighed about 70 kg. (155 lbs.) and was approximately 168 cm. (5 ft., 6 in.) tall. He was likely between 20 and 50 years old at the time of his death.

He was wearing only shorts and a tee shirt, both of which appear to be from an offshore source. The shirt logo is of a style typically marketed on souvenir clothing, and identifies Cebu, Philippines as a likely source.

Please see the Coroners Service website (Case File 2009-280-0109) to view or download the facial reconstruction drawing and photos:

The mandate of the Coroners Service is to ensure that a thorough and independent inquiry is made into all sudden and unexplained deaths in the community.
