NORTH FORK FOREST SERVICE ROAD TEMPORARILY CLOSED

KAMLOOPS – Travellers are advised that the North Fork Forest Service Road near Perry River will be closed from Friday, August 6 to Wednesday, August 25 as crews install two bridges between kilometres 12 and 13.

The work will include the removal and replacement of two existing structures with a steel girder concrete-deck bridge and a concrete-slab bridge. The work is estimated to cost $200,000.

British Columbia’s 55,000-km network of Forest Service roads is bigger than the provincial highway system. The bridge replacements are part of the Ministry of Forests and Range’s annual capital and operating budget.
