ABERDEEN HADDO FOREST SERVICE ROAD TEMPORARILY CLOSED

KELOWNA – Travellers are advised that the Aberdeen Haddo Forest Service Road from Aberdeen Plateau to Haddo Lake will be closed from Friday, August 6 to Wednesday, August 25 as crews work on the Duteau Creek bridge at kilometre 19.

The maintenance work will include replacing the existing log-stringer bridge with a concrete-slab structure.

The Haddo Lake Recreation Site can still be accessed via the Haddo Forest Service Road, which will remain open.

British Columbia’s 55,000-km network of Forest Service roads is bigger than the provincial highway system. The bridge work is part of the provincial and federal infrastructure funding announced this spring that will inject more than $1.4 million to improving travel and safety conditions on Forest Service roads for residents in the Kamloops and Okanagan regions.
