Coroners Service confirms identity of deceased male

PRINCE GEORGE – The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a male found deceased in a bush area of Prince George on April 11, 2012.

Investigation by the Coroners Service and the RCMP has determined the male to be Prince George resident Christopher Michael Leblond, age 29.

Identification was established through a comparison of fingerprints. Mr. Leblond is believed to have died about six weeks ago.

Investigation into the cause of Mr. Leblond’s death continues, but foul play has been ruled out. All evidence suggests no one was with him in the bushy area where he was found.

Mr. Leblond’s family has been notified of the confirmed identification. On behalf of the family, the Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
