B.C. Coroners Service confirms identity of logging truck driver

 

VANCOUVER — The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died as a result of a logging truck accident which occurred near Harrison Hot Springs on July 19, 2012.

 

The man is Steven James Reid, aged 43, from Sardis.

 

Mr. Reid was the sole occupant and driver of a logging tractor-trailer which crashed into a large tree at Harrison East Road about 15 km east of Harrison Lake.

 

No other persons or vehicles were involved in the accident.

 

The Coroners Service and WorkSafe BC continue to investigate this death.

 

The family of Mr. Reid has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.

 

The BC Coroners Service expresses its condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Reid.
