BC Coroners Service confirms identity of truck driver

 

KELOWNA – The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of one of two truck drivers who died in a motor vehicle incident south of Kamloops on Oct. 5, 2012. 

 

He was Gary Joseph Miller, aged 59, of Kamloops.

 

Mr. Miller was the driver of one of two semi-trailer trucks that collided head-on on Highway 5A near Stump Lake about 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 5.

 

The driver of the second truck also was killed in the collision and resulting fire. The BC Coroners Service will make public his identity, once formal confirmation of identification is made and all family members have been notified.

 

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this incident.

 

The family of Mr. Miller has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
