Coroners Service identifies child killed in ATV crash

 

KELOWNA - The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a four-year-old boy who died following an ATV crash west of Nelson on Oct. 7, 2012. 

 

He was Isaac Robert Zukowski, of Castlegar.

 

Isaac was the passenger on an all-terrain vehicle (quad) being driven by an adult male on the Mid Slope Forest Service Road west of Nelson about 2 p.m. on Oct. 7 when the vehicle hit a drainage ditch and flipped over.

 

The driver of the ATV suffered serious injuries in the crash.  A physician who attended the scene pronounced Isaac dead.

 

The Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this incident.

 

Isaac’s family has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.

 

The Coroners Service extends its condolences to the family and friends of this young boy.
