BC Coroners Service identifies fire victim

 

KELOWNA – The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died following a house fire in Kelowna on Oct. 26, 2012.

 

He was Jason Patrick Donahue, aged 46, of Kelowna.

 

At about 4 a.m. on Oct. 26, fire crews were called to a report of a residential fire at a home in the 800-block Saucier Avenue in Kelowna. Mr. Donahue was found by fire crews in the basement of the home. He was removed by the fire crews, but could not be resuscitated and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

 

The BC Coroners Service and fire investigators continue to investigate this incident.

 

Mr. Donahue’s family has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
