CHILD-CARE OPERATING FUNDING PROGRAM LAUNCHED

 


·        More than 1,400 licensed child-care providers (800 licensed family providers and 600 licensed child-care centres) will be eligible to receive child-care operating funding for the first time. 

 

·        All child-care providers who hold a valid operating licence or interim permit under the Community Care Facility Act are eligible to apply for funding, with the exception of childminding or occasional child care at ski hill or resort, and residential care. Eligible child-care providers may be family or group providers (centres and preschools).

 

·        There will be monthly and annual reporting requirements for funded child-care providers to meet as a condition of participation in the program.
