STUDENTS TO BENEFIT FROM NEW ERA OF CHOICE

Beginning this September parents and students can choose a school that matches their child’s specific learning needs or interests.

Government responded to parents’ demand for more choice by amending the School Act in April 2002 to provide more choices for parents and students.

That means students can now attend any school in their “home” district, a neighbouring district or any other district in the province, provided space is available.

Below is a sample of the new choice schools and programs offered by school districts this year.
