· B.C.’s unique student loan forgiveness program is being expanded to include students who graduate on or after Dec. 1, 2004, in speech pathology, audiology, occupational therapy and physiotherapy.
· Graduates make neither principal nor interest payments on their B.C. student loans while they are participating in the loan forgiveness program.
· Applicants can graduate from any designated university in Canada and be eligible for loan forgiveness as long as they have a B.C. student loan.
· Graduates in speech language pathology, audiology, occupational therapy or physiotherapy must be employees of, or contracted with, the Ministry of Education, a B.C. school district, the Ministry of Children and Family Development, the Ministry of Health, a public health-care facility, or a B.C. regional health authority to take part in the program.
